How long does Rupeezy take to process offline documents?

Offline account opening documents take longer than the paperless flow because your physical forms have to reach Rupeezy, be verified by hand, and then keyed in. Once Rupeezy has your complete, correctly-filled and signed physical kit, the account is typically processed within a few working days.

Why do offline documents take longer than the paperless process?

The paperless flow is verified electronically end to end, so there is nothing to post and nothing to key in manually. The offline route adds physical steps:

  • Delivery time — your signed forms have to be couriered to and received by Rupeezy before any processing can start.
  • Manual verification — the physical documents, photographs, and signatures are checked by hand against your KYC details.
  • Data entry — the details on the paper forms are entered into the system before the account is activated.

Because of these extra steps, an offline application will always take longer than the fully paperless one.

When does the clock start?

Processing time is counted from the day Rupeezy receives your complete and correctly-filled physical kit — not from the day you posted it. If a form is missing, a page is unsigned, or a signature does not match your records, the application is held until you send the correction, which adds to the total time.

To keep the process moving:

  • Fill in every required field before you send the kit.
  • Sign in all the marked places, and make sure your signature matches the one on your PAN and bank records.
  • Enclose every supporting document the forms ask for, so nothing has to be requested again.

How can I open an account faster?

If you want the quickest turnaround, choose the online (paperless) route instead of offline forms. Paperless accounts are usually opened within about 48 hours of you submitting the required details and completing e-sign. See How long does it take to open an account with Rupeezy? for that timeline.
